Library Giveaway!

Renee Christiansen, Youth Services Manager for the Library System of Lancaster County in Pennsylvania just finished reading The Mockingbirds by Daisy Whitney. She says, "I look forward to doing some reader’s advisory about it, as I know some teens and other youth librarians who will savor the story. It definitely can be a book that could encourage or be that tipping point for a teen who may be on the verge of self-discovery in how they would apply themselves if they witnessed or experienced a situation of civil justice. And too, It’s such a shining example of how people can come together to right a wrong. What a courageous young woman Ms. Whitney was back in college to change the state of affairs, too!"

The next Mockingbirds novel will be released Fall 2011!

Library Giveaway!

This unusual tale comes from librarian Dawn Kaestner at Sultan Public Library in Sultan, Washington: "One minute I was a librarian enjoying a good book...the next minute I had shapeshifted into a four-legged creature with an insatiable appetite for squeaking rubber chickens!"

Oh no!

(Actually, that's Sheldon the Pit Bull with Other by Karen Kincy. Isn't he cute?)
