It's Faith Day!

It's Launch Day For Losing Faith and FAITH DAY over at http://www.denisejaden.com/!

One of the things some Tenners have been doing throughout the year is having a giveaway for their book as it releases. I wanted to give back to many of the critique partners and friends who have helped me get to this point of seeing my first book on the shelves, and so I've decided to let them give away all the copies of Losing Faith. But...I did want to do *something* on The Tenners site to celebrate as well. So...

I'm giving away this gift pack of EIGHT books and swag by other Tenners!

And here's the list, in case you can't make some of them out:

The Dark Divine by Bree Despain (signed!)
Palace Beautiful by Sarah DeFord Williams (ARC)
The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea Campbell (signed with special Villain imprint!)
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (ARC)
The Duff by Kody Keplinger (signed ARC!)
The Dark Days of Hamburger Halpin by Josh Berk (ARC)
Escaping The Tiger by Laura Manivong (ARC)
Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White (signed!)

Quite a haul for one lucky winner! All you have to do to enter is tweet, blog, or comment with your faithful or hopeful message to someone who may be losing faith. (Leave the link here or use the hashtag #losingfaithbook10 so I can count your entries). Enter as many times as you like before midnight tonight (PST). And as a bonus, you'll also be entered to win my grand prize packs (you can see them through my website link above).  It doesn't have to be anything fancy - just something as simple as, "This too shall pass," or "Things will look better tomorrow." Or of course if you want to release your inner Tony Robbins, I'm all for that too!

Even if you don't plan to buy my book, even if you're not eligible for this Tenner Gift Pack (sorry, Tenners - this one's not for you.), please spread a little hope in the world today!

I'll be leaving hopeful quotes and messages (some my own, some by others) on Twitter all day, but here's one to get you started...

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. – Albert Einstein

Note - Tenner prize pack can only be mailed out to someone 13 or older, within Canada and the U.S.

Good luck! And don't lose faith...

Bonzai & Congrats Denise - I saw your book @ Barnes & Noble today - I just sat there & stared at the cover for the longest time - it was so, so, very pretty.

Here are my words of faith ( they're directed at someone in particular though I won't say whom )

Though there may be trials and tribulations, heartbreak & sorrow, never lose your faith - keep living for tomorrow. Each day I spend with you tethers you more tightly to my heart & I just want to say - you've got the courage of a lion & you deserve all the best the world can offer. Don't dwell on the past, keep trudging forward & know no matter who or what you profess to believe - I'll always be your gleaming sword.

& to everyone else -
"A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows"
( St. Francis of Assisi )

Congratulations!!!

Here is a message for anyone struggling to keep strong:

“We must be our own before we can be another's.” ~ Emerson

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ~ Emerson

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Been tweeting a few diff phrases today:

You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club. - Jack London

“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” - Oscar Wilde

(this one is too big for Twitter)

“Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it.” - Bill Cosby

I've been having a rough few days, it's nice to read these quotes.

Here's my contribution:

"Song of Hope" by Thomas Hardy
O sweet To-morrow! -
After to-day
There will away
This sense of sorrow.
Then let us borrow
Hope, for a gleaming
Soon will be streaming,
Dimmed by no gray -
No gray!

While the winds wing us
Sighs from The Gone,
Nearer to dawn
Minute-beats bring us;
When there will sing us
Larks of a glory
Waiting our story
Further anon -
Anon!

Doff the black token,
Don the red shoon,
Right and retune
Viol-strings broken;
Null the words spoken
In speeches of rueing,
The night cloud is hueing,
To-morrow shines soon -
Shines soon!

When things get rough, I always remind myself to keep thinking positive thoughts-- there is nowhere to go but forward; if you're down, you can only go up.

Congratulations! I hope you had a wonderful release day. I don't have a twitter, so here's my message:
